I recently visited Roots Rum and Shack on a Thursday evening with a few of my old coursemates, and it was such a vibe from start to finish! First of all, Thursday is definitely the day to go they offer half-price food, which was the perfect excuse for us to indulge a little more.
Great local Reggae Rum bar & restaurant. Serving great delicious jerk Carribbean dishes . Every plate a mouth watering delight . Great selection of Beers wines and fab cocktail menu. Mixed in a funky vibrant setting on Newland Avenue. A must if you're in the area.
We absolutely love it here. Roots is one of our date night go to restaurants. We have never had a bad meal here. The staff are lovely and really friendly. The atmosphere is a really good vibe and the food is amazing and consistent every time we go.
Loved the food! Belly pork was soft like butter, sauces full of flavour and kick, generous servings, especially the wings and great variety of dishes all full of flavour. Ribs were excellent too. Server was helpful and place was colourful, comfortable and warm on a cold night. Would go back!
